- Rug Re-fringing (re-fringing by hand sewing a pre-made fringes, or reconstruction of new cotton, wool or silk fringes from the foundation of the rug tread by tread.

We provide accurate written appraisals for your Oriental rug(s) for insurance/replacement, retail and estate evaluation purposes. With the help of our experts you can learn more about your valued rug(s) and carpet(s) and determine the county of origin, age, and the types of material and dyes used in the making of your carpet and most importantly their values both in present retail and wholesale markets. We will never under appraise your rug(s) for the intention to purchase them from you!

At Annapolis Oriental Rugs, MD. we have created 6 inch bath using softened water so that the rugs can be submersed wetting both surfaces at the same time. The rugs are soaked for certain period of time and pH reading are taken before and after the soaking. The water is then drained from the bath and then a special Shampoo is sponged into the surface of the rug.
After the sponging is completed the rug is rinsed and turned over in the wash bath and the Shampoo sponging is repeated on the back side and the rinsed.
The rug is submerged again for certain time and let to soak. The water is then drained and the rinsing procedure is repeated until all the Shampoo is removed. This is determined by taking pH reading of the rug and the solution.
The water is then place on clean surface and extracted, and then the rug is dried at certain temperature.
All aspect of rug hand washing vary according to the condition of each rug.
